Saudi Arabia’s international trade volume reached approximately SAR 184.1 billion in October 2025, marking the second-highest trade level recorded in the Kingdom this year, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT). The figure reflects a strong annual growth of 8.4 percent, representing an increase of more than SAR 14 billion compared to October 2024.
Merchandise exports accounted for 56.5 percent of total trade, valued at SAR 103.9 billion, the highest export level recorded in 2025. Imports stood at SAR 80.1 billion, representing 43.5 percent of total trade activity. The Kingdom’s highest trade volume this year was recorded in July 2025, exceeding SAR 185 billion.
Saudi Arabia’s trade balance surplus rose to SAR 23.9 billion, reflecting a notable 47.4 percent annual increase, exceeding SAR 7 billion compared to the same period last year. Petroleum exports remained dominant at SAR 70.1 billion, accounting for 67.4 percent of total exports, while non-oil national exports reached SAR 20.1 billion, demonstrating continued progress in economic diversification.
Re-exports surged significantly by 130.7 percent year-on-year, reaching SAR 13.8 billion, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a regional logistics and re-export hub. Asian countries remained the Kingdom’s top export destination, absorbing 73.1 percent of total exports, with China, the UAE, and India ranking as the leading trade partners.
