Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a global mining and minerals hub as Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, inaugurated the international exhibition accompanying the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) on Tuesday. The opening ceremony was attended by several ministers, senior government officials, and CEOs of leading mining and industrial companies from around the world.
The exhibition serves as a major global platform for the mining and minerals sector, bringing together more than 285 sponsors and exhibitors representing the full minerals value chain from exploration and extraction to processing and advanced manufacturing.
This year’s edition recorded a strong international presence, with 11 official national pavilions representing leading mining nations: Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, Brazil, Egypt, Morocco, and Pakistan. The wide participation highlights Saudi Arabia’s growing role in shaping the future of the global minerals industry.
The exhibition is structured across four key zones, offering a comprehensive experience for investors and industry professionals. The Outdoor Exhibition showcases large-scale heavy machinery used in major mining operations, while the Tech Hub highlights cutting-edge digital solutions and AI-driven innovations transforming the mining sector. These are complemented by the Indoor Exhibition, featuring global and local industry leaders, and the Exploration Zone, which focuses on startups and emerging exploration companies critical to future mineral discoveries.
The exhibition’s inauguration coincided with the fifth International Ministerial Meeting, bringing together ministers and senior officials from over 100 countries, reinforcing the Forum’s status as a strategic platform for international cooperation and investment in the minerals sector.
