1. Incorrect or Missing Address Details
Issue:
Submitting wrong building number, street name, district, secondary number or postal code. Sometimes people omit the Additional Number or misuse it.
Solution:
Double-check the official address components before submitting. Use Saudi Post’s map pin / locator tool to verify location. If needed, refer to utility bills or municipality documents for the correct address format.
2. Problems with Document Verification / Identity Confirmation
Issue:
The system rejects registration because of mismatched or invalid IDs (National ID / Iqama), or missing proof of residence (e.g. rental agreement or ownership).
Solution:
Ensure your ID / Iqama is valid and active. Have documents ready that prove residency (lease contract, utility bills) if requested. Make sure documents are clearly scanned / photographed.
3. Map Pin / Geo-Location Errors
Issue:
The location pin placed inaccurately on the map, leading to wrong location coordinates. Or city/district mismatch with map.
Solution:
When using map tools, zoom in and verify visually. Use landmarks, street intersections. If possible, view address on map after registering to confirm it’s correct.
4. Login / Technical / Platform Issues
Issue:
Difficulty logging in (Absher, SPL portals), website errors / maintenance, app bugs, or platform-compatibility issues.
Solution:
Use stable internet, try different browsers, check for platform updates. If login fails, use “forgot password” or account recovery via linked mobile number. For technical glitches, wait if there’s scheduled maintenance or contact SPL support.
5. Delay in Processing or Confirmation
Issue:
After submission, no confirmation is received; address not activated quickly; status remains “pending”.
Solution:
Monitor the application through the portal / app. Make sure all required fields and documents are submitted (sometimes omissions cause delay). Use transaction number or reference ID to follow up with support.
6. Not Updating Address When You Move
Issue:
People don’t update their address after moving, which causes missed government letters, deliveries, and service disruptions.
Solution:
Use the “Update Address” service via SPL / Gov.sa portals as soon as you move. Keep document proof if needed. Update bank, official records, and linked services.
7. Confusion About Roles of Different Platforms (Absher, SPL, Nafath etc.)
Issue:
People are unsure which portal to use (Absher, SPL, Nafath, Gov.sa), or how they interconnect. This causes duplication or misregistration.
Solution:
Use official guidelines: register your National Address via SPL or Gov.sa. Ensure your account (Absher, Nafath) is linked where needed. Follow step by step instructions on official SPL site.
8. Misunderstanding Rules / Penalties
Issue:
Lack of awareness of the requirement that National Address must be used in many services; penalties exist for non-compliance.
Solution:
Be aware: As per SPL, from January 1, 2026, use of National Address becomes mandatory. Regularly check official sites for updates. Register and use the address correctly.
