The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of five new maritime shipping services in cooperation with major global shipping lines including MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk, and Hapag‑Lloyd to enhance Saudi Arabia’s maritime connectivity and resilience amid current logistics conditions.
These new services, such as MSC’s ‘JADE’ and Maersk’s ‘AE19’, alongside other dedicated routes like SE4, operate from key hubs like Jeddah Islamic Port, strengthening supply chains and linking Saudi ports with prominent regional and international destinations.
The expansion of routes reflects Mawani’s proactive strategy to ensure continuity of global trade flows, mitigate disruption risks from regional conditions such as tensions near the Strait of Hormuz, and support the Kingdom’s role as a global logistics hub in accordance with Vision 2030 goals.
Importantly, these services are designed to improve the flow of goods, increase export opportunities, and provide flexible shipping capacities to importers and exporters operating across Saudi ports.
